WELCOME TO ISAIAH 61 LIFE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL

The goal for many, if not most western evangelical Christians is win souls for Jesus. That is to save as many souls as possible. At Isaiah 61 Ministries our goal is to be transformed into Christlikeness and to help others in that same mission. We strive to follow Jesus so that we may be set free from the bondages of spiritual oppression. Our desire is to have the eyes and ears of our heart open to receiving the good news of his Kingdom that he established here on earth and to walk with humility in sacrificial love. We believe that salvation is a by-product of the transformative work of Jesus' indwelling Spirit in us as we become the manifestation of the new humanity prophesied by Isaiah and other Old Testament prophets and embodied by Jesus as the first fruits of the "now but not yet" Kingdom of God.

What We Believe

In Jesus' first public teaching engagement he opened the scrolls to Isaiah 61 and read:

1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me,

because the LORD has anointed Me

to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners, 2to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor...
